13|buell kazee: 2:30, 3:00, 4:00: part of an interview with loyal jones
the initial motivation behind this project. listening to an extended interview of buell kazee, my attention drifted from the conversation to other sounds present in the recording. the chiming of a clock becomes a huge thing, if listening to the recordings like music. this insignificant moment became the structure. my listening at the archives often ended up like this: allowing random moments create a framework for hearing, and then these background sounds moved to the front, changing my awareness.
